On behalf of Martin’s close family, Thank you all for coming.
I think one of my father’s best attributes was his loyalty. Loyalty to his friends and family and that is clearly shown by how many of you have come here today.
Another was his dry and often outlandish wit. Four days before he passed away when I was staying with him and looking after him I asked him if there was anything I could get him. I was thinking cup of tea, G&T. But he turned to me and just said: a liver transplant!
The last piece of music is something he told us he wanted played today. And it is very much in keeping with his humour and personality. Be warned!
During this piece of music myself, my siblings and my step mother will say our final goodbye to Martin. When you are ready if you would like do the same and then follow us out the doors at the back, we shall see you outside or at the Stephens house and gardens for lunch. If you need help getting there just ask us.
